L'Albereta Locanda: Once an elegant country residence for a noble family, L'Albereta Locanda has been sensitively restored to offer charming rooms in five-star comfort in a rural location. The decor is distinctly Provencal in flavour. Many of the original features have been retained like the period frescoes, nineteenth century fan-lights and watercolours. The spacious bedrooms have been furnished individually and benefit from private bathrooms. Some rooms also have a balcony or direct access to the lawns and flower beds which make up the grounds of the hotel. The Lake Tower has recently been transformed into suites and junior suites with Jacuzzi tubs. The public areas are comfortable and relaxing and are made up of lounges, a sun terrace, and a bar, as well as the tennis court and spa.

The well-equipped spa contrasts beautifully with the traditional feel of the rest of the hotel. The design is stylish and contemporary and incorporates resin floors, waterfalls and Italian design furniture mixed with original Thai antiques. The varied treatment menu includes some minor surgical treatments, such as liftings and peelings.

L'Albereta is set in the attractive region of Franciacorta, an area which reflects the typical vision of Italy of rolling fields and vineyards. This is one of Italy's prime culinary tourist areas and some of the Italy's finest wines are produced here. The restaurant at the Albereta features in many travel guides as one of Italy's most famous. Gualtiero Marchesi is a world-renowned chef with two Michelin stars to his name. Marchesi's dishes are creatively designed - nouvelle cuisine with a twist to incorporate regional Italian flavours. A seven course gastronomic menu costs about 140 Euro, while individual items from the a la carte menu start from around 30 Euro.

Due to the popularity of the restaurant, tables should be booked in advance.

Spa
The 1500 metre square spa has been designed and decorated by a well-known Italian architect to produce a serene, contemporary space for relaxing, refreshing and rejuvenating. The spa is well equipped with a sauna, hammam (Turkish steam bath), Kneipp circuit (a series of hot and cold herbal water treatments), gym, multifunctional swimming pool and water bicycles. A variety of treatments are available incorporating soothing hydrotherapy, energising massages and beauty boosting facial and body treatments.

Franciacorta, located between the southern shore of Lake Iseo and the Po River Valley, presents many opportunities for exploration.
Local towns and villages host antique fairs or flea markets, of which the hotel can provide details.
The hotel grounds are ideal for nature walks or jogging in beautiful natural surroundings.
